China 4G Along The Yangtze River

Chinese mobile phone operator, China Telecom, is enlisting the help of Ericsson to upgrade its network along the Yangtze River region.

Ericsson will provide China Telecom with its advanced 40 Gbps DWDM solution, the MHL 3000 series, allowing the cell phone network to upgrade its service in cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou.

The 4G equipment is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of this year, with commercial deployment by December.
