iPhone 4G – Real Feel Touchscreen & Fingerprint Scanning

Tantalising iPhone 4G rumors from MacWorld suggest that Apple have applied for patents on a technology to give the next version of the iPhone – the 4G – a “real feel” touch screen, giving buttons a physical feel under the finger.

In other words, you’ll be able to feel the edge of buttons as your finger glides over them. Not only would this make it easier to use the iPhone 4G in situations when the screen isn’t easy to see, it will also be a great help to blind and partially sighted mobile phone users.

Fingerprint recognition is at the center of another Apple patent for the iPhone – a handy feature for security.

Seems like getting your hands on the new iPhone 4G will be exciting in more ways than one.
