New 4G Routers from Cradlepoint

CradlePoint Technology is to show off two new 4G routers at CES in Las Vegas. One is a 4G personal hotspot for mobile workers that supports 3G modems, 802.11n Wi-Fi and up to 16 devices – allowing phone users to share their 4G WiMAX connection.

The other will be a home / office version of the 4G router designed to increase 4G coverage inside buildings. Technical specs for the two devices will be similar.

Cradlepoint have also announced a new a wireless broadband adapter , the CBA750. The broadband adapter supports 3 / 4G USB modems and can use existing CAT5 cabling to provide 4G wireless broadband throughout a business.

MBR900 – New 4G Router from CradlePoint

CradlePoint has added another 4G router to its range – the MBR900. The product aims to provide an always on internet connection for business and home networks.

As well as supporting ethernet-based data connections it’s ready to be used with 3G / 4G mobile broadband devices, such as USB modems.

This means that CradlePoint’s MBR900 allows you to use both wired and wireless internet connections to create a redundant connection – when your wired connection goes down, the MBR900 will automatically activate your 3G / 4G wireless connection so you can carry on surfing.
