4G Road Runner in Maui
The 4G Road Runner Mobile network from Time Warner Cable is now up and running in Maui.
Road Runner Mobile is intended as a complimentary service to Road Runner High Speed Online and includes a full security suite, email, data storage for $34.95 per month for Time Warner Cable Triple Play customers.
Time Warner claims a download speed of 6Mbps for the new 4G phone network.
Sprint 4G in Honolulu and Maui
Hot on the heels of its recent launch of Seattle 4G, Sprint has launched a 4G phone service in Hawaii for Honolulu and Maui.
General Manager of Spring Hawaii, Dale Goya, said, “We are excited that Oahu and Maui are included in the first wave of markets with Sprint 4G. Sprint is committed to continue investing in Hawaii and it is a great opportunity for customers in both Maui and Oahu who can now enjoy speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G and take advantage of many 4G devices as they roll out in the months ahead.”
Sprint 4G is currently available in 27 coverage areas.
Clear / Sprint 4G for Honolulu & Maui
These days 4G network launches are getting more and more commonplace.
In addition to markets already announced, Clearwire and Sprint 4G have said they will launch 4G phone services in Honolulu and on Maui in early December of this year.
