Sprint 4G in New York

Sprint is getting ready to launch its 4G phone network in New York City.

The service – which will cost $60 a month – will offer phone users in New York download speeds of up to 6Mbps. While Sprint hasn’t yet given a definite launch date it has confirmed New York 4G will be in place later this year.

Of the other mobile phone companies, Verizon is also expected to launch a similar network later this year, while AT&T won’t be upgrading until next year.
