Clearwire 4G Live in North Carolina
Clearwire Communications has rolled out its Clear 4G service to North Carolina. The new mobile internet service is available in the Triad and Charlotte and Raleigh.
Clear 4G now covers about 2,000 square miles and 3 million potential mobile phone users in North Carolina using WiMAX technology that’s up to ten times faster than 3G.
Sprint 4G Hits Chicago, Dallas and North Carolina
Sprint’s 4G mobile WiMAX service is now available in an extra ten markets including Chicago and Dallas – Fort Worth. It’s also arrived in a number of areas of North Carolina including Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Chapel Hill, and Cary, plus Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point.
As usual, the 4G phones and data modems used by Sprint customers in these areas will fall back to the regular 3G service from Sprint when the phone user moves out of a 4G coverage area.
