Spain 4G from Clearwire
Clearwire is launching a 4G phone service for Malaga in Spain.
The mobile phone company says it will be the first 4G city network in Spain, providing 4G to nearly 600,000 phone users in Malaga. A similar service will also be setup for Seville. The network will start later this year.
Clearwire to offer 4G in Spain
Clearwire, which plans to offer 4G phone services in selected urban areas of Spain in 2010, has chosen Alvarion to supply its mobile WiMAX 802.16e solution for Spain.
Although there’s no word yet on a launch date, Clearwire has said it plans to offer the Spanish market high-speed mobile internet, VoIP and 4G video services to consumers and businesses.
