ZyXEL Launches ZLR-2070S 4G Router
ZyXEL Communications will launch a new 4G router soon. The ZLR-2070S is a 4G LTE router that can be used in the home or small office. ZyXEL plans to demonstrate the new device at the Las Vegas CES 2010 show in January.
Main features of the ZyXEL TLR-2070S include two VoIP ports, home networking, 11n wireless switch and a USB port for sharing devices like printers and storage drives.
Data transfer rates while in 4G coverage areas are up to 50Mbps.
ZyXEL MWR222 Mobile Wireless Router
New from ZyXEL is the MWR222 Mobile Wireless Router, a pocket-sized portable Wi-Fi router that supports 4G connections as well as 3G and DSL/Cable.
As with all 4G routers, the MWR222 Mobile Wireless Router will seamlessly fall back to 3G where 4G network coverage isn’t available. ZyXEL claims the rechargeable battery pack will last for up to two hours.
One very interesting feature is bandwidth monitoring – the router will let you know when you’re getting close to your bandwidth quota, helping to avoid unpleasant additional mobile bandwidth fees.
